Make a clay pot

< Completed List

There’s something very therapeutic about playing with mud! I used to make mud pies as a kid and would occasionally try and make a cup out of mud but it never worked. So I decided that I would have a go at the real thing. I searched online for a pottery centre and come across Rob Bibby Ceramics, a pottery studio about 45 mins away from where I live. Rob made me feel very welcome and got me settled at the wheel and didn’t waste time getting me stuck in.

My first attempt at making a pot, surprisingly, was very good, according to Rob. It had straight lines, no wobbles and looked quite good. However, the following four attempts weren’t as good but it was great fun all the same.
